The 2011 Golf team had its most successful year in terms of team accomplishments in the history of North Pocono. We finished with a record of 14 wins and 1 loss and were co-champions of the Lackawanna Southern Division, champions of the Lackawanna League, District 2 champions, PIAA Eastern Regional champions and capped it off with a 3rd place finish at the PIAA state championships.

The team was led by senior co-captains Mark Paradise, Amanda Reach, and Ken Sames. All were named to the first team of the Lackawanna League boys or girls all-star teams. Underclassmen starters were Kerry Connors , Kevin Nardella and Richie Antonio. All six made important contributions in various matches to pick the rest of the team up and insure that we would be moving on to the next level of competition. This was the first time that any golf team won a regional title and moved on to the state championship.

Individually, Mark Paradise finished 8th in the District 2 competition and moved on to the eastern regionals for the second consecutive year. Amanda Reach finished 3rd in District 2 and went to regionals for the third time in her career, where she finished 2nd (the highest any North Pocono golfer finished at regional competition) and qualified for the state championships, where she finished 19th.
