From the Desk of Mr. Hatala …
Dear MEC Families,
Another summer has gone by and we have spent most of the days preparing for another exciting school year. All of our teachers are eager for the arrival of both new and returning students. We hope everyone enjoyed their summer break and is now renewed and full of energy to begin a new school year.
With the new school year come new challenges and opportunities. Students are anxious to make and meet new friends and are excited about seeing old friends again. The Moscow Elementary Center (MEC) is prepared to provide every child with the opportunity to learn and to successfully attain their highest aspirations that both parents and
teachers set for them. To help achieve these goals, we are pleased to welcome back a vibrant and exciting teaching staff.

Olweus Bully Prevention Program - Bullying will not be tolerated at MEC. In efforts to abolish bullying, all students will be introduced to our newly adopted Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. Bullying prevention will now be incorporated into our teachers’ lesson planning on a daily basis. Students will have multiple opportunities to learn
how to prevent and report bullying.
In closing, our goal at MEC is to provide your sons and daughters with a structured and challenging curriculum. With the educational leadership from our administration and the guidance of our teachers, MEC will proudly assist in the educational development of your child.
