From the Desk of Mr. Hatala …
Dear MEC Families,
It’s hard to believe that this is the last newsletter of the year! It seems like yesterday that I wrote a “Welcome to MEC” letter to you all. As I reflect on our year at MEC, I am so humbled by the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, and parents. Because of you, we celebrate another successful school year!
As the weeks wind down, many events are planned for our students. With all that is happening, please make sure to check backpacks and folders for important information coming home, as well as the website
for the reminders of important dates.
Summer will soon be upon us and I want to remind and encourage all of our families to keep up the progress that our students have worked so hard for during the school year. Reading is crucial for students’
continued reading growth (15 - 30 minutes per day is a great goal!).
In closing, the faculty and staff at MEC extend our personal thanks to all of the families who supported our school this year by volunteering, visiting, or by simply encouraging your child at home with homework or school projects. Your involvement and support are essential to the success of our program and we truly appreciate all that you have done and continue to do for our school.
I hope you all have a safe, fun, and relaxing summer!
Mr. Jeff Hatala, Principal
