COVID-19 Update #2: 3 December 2020 |

Thursday, 03 December 2020 |
Over the last week, we have seen an increase in student and staff quarantines, as well increasing positive cases throughout our area. Today, there was a record number of new cases in the state of Pennsylvania. Both of the counties we serve are in the "substantial community spread" category in the Department of Education/Department of Health metric. Tonight, the North Pocono Board of Education has approved a plan to begin virtual instruction starting Monday, December 7 through at least Monday, January 18 (the Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday). The district will have a targeted return to school on Tuesday, January 19 in our hybrid model.
The district greatly appreciates the efforts of all students, staff, and parents in keeping our schools in session since August. Our goal is to return to school in-person via our hybrid model on our target day.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and support throughout this most difficult time. There will be additional information released tomorrow, Friday, December 4, 2020, regarding student schedules in the virtual mode.
Thank you,
Bryan McGraw
