In honor of Earth Day Third grade students in Mrs. Carone's and Mrs. Stevens class helped to make their school a cleaner place. The students were given plastic gloves and bags before heading out to the school grounds. Under the supervision of their teachers and Mr. Anthony Selvenis, a student teacher from Marywood University, the children picked up litter from the area around Jefferson Elementary. The children were surprised with the amount of liter they found, and they said the activity helped them understand how important it is to take good care of the world around them.
