The second grade students at MEC recently participated in the PPL sponsored program, Bright Kids. The program taught students to “bee” energy smart. They discussed saving energy at home and at school. They also learned about the 3 R’s: Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle. Students were each provided with a THINK! ENERGY with E-power Take Action Kit. Students have to fill out a report card using their new kits at home. If 80% of each individual class participates in the program and returns their report cards to PPL, mini-grants will be given out. Each second grade teacher is eligible to receive $100.00 for their classrooms.
