The Central Registration Office is tasked with enrolling new students, withdrawing those students leaving the district, and collecting, managing, and reporting student data. The office is led by Mr. Ian R. Farr, Assistant to the Superintendent. A graduate of North Pocono High School, Mr. Farr holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education English from Bloomsburg University, a Master of Science degree in Classroom Technology from Wilkes University, and a Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership with Principal Certification from Wilkes University. Over the course of 20 years, Mr. Farr served as a middle school English teacher, an assistant principal, and a building principal at North Pocono before being named to his current position. He is assisted in the office by a secretary who handles new student intake, a senior technician from the technology department who oversees all student data, and a data systems technician in the business office who does data entry, quality assurance, child accounting, and reporting. Central Registration Office responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing and expediting the registration of new students
  • Overseeing the withdrawal process for students leaving the district
  • Coordinating with building secretarial and health services staff to ensure the completion of document collection for new students
  • Performing data entry for demographic, enrollment, and other select data points for students
  • Performing extensive quality assurance checks on student data in the district's student information system
  • Performing state-required child accounting
  • Reporting of student data to the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PIMS) and the United States Department of Education
