2025-2026 Registration
North Pocono School District’s Kindergarten Registration Platform
is now open and accepting registrants for the 2025-2026 school year.
Registration should be completed online at www.npsd.org and was due on 3/31/25. If you have not submitted an application for your Kindergarten student, please do so as soon as possible. Registration information is used to plan for the upcoming school year including the appropriate placement of staff members. Information regarding “Welcome to Kindergarten” events as well as scheduling for those events will be communicated directly with the families who have registered children for kindergarten through our online registration platform.
The following guidelines apply to those registering for kindergarten:
- Children must be five (5) years of age before September 1, 2025 in order to register for the 2025-2026 school year.
- Both the student and the parent or legal guardian of the student must be a full-time district resident. In the case of joint custody, the parent/legal guardian in whose home the child sleeps the majority of the time must be a full-time district resident.
- Registrants must provide proof of age for students. Any one of the following constitutes acceptable documentation: birth certificate; notarized copy of birth certificate; baptismal certificate; copy of the record of baptism – notarized or duly certified and showing the date of birth; notarized statement from the parents or another relative indicating the date of birth; a valid passport; a prior school record indicating the date of birth.
- Registrants must provide three proofs of residency. These documents include:
- Copy of deed, mortgage, or lease agreement
- Post Office official change of address form
- Copy of driver's license (correct address)
- Copy of motor vehicle registration
- Copies of at least (2) utility bills dated within thirty (30) days, including, but not limited to gas, water, electric, sewer, telephone, and/or cable
- Tax statements
- Court orders
- Pay Stub
- Voter Registration Card
- You must provide proof of compliance with state immunization requirements.
Once registered, incoming kindergarten students and their parents will be invited to attend our kindergarten screenings held in the month of July and our kindergarten orientation night in August.

In order to have your student educated by the North Pocono School District, the following criteria must be met:

Important Notes
Important Things to Note
Once you submit your online application, you will receive an email to the email address you registered with stating that it was submitted. Therefore, be especially careful when typing both your email address and phone number.
Once your application has been approved from enrollment, you will receive a second email. If there are any questions concerning your application, you will get an email stating what additional information is needed to complete the application.
Once enrollment has been approved our office and nursing staff may contact you if other information is needed.
The registration process is not complete and a student is not enrolled until all required documents have been received and processed by the Central Registration Office.
To ensure your child will be enrolled and able to start school on the first day, please have their registration completed with all documentation into the school by August 1st. Any registrations that do not have all required documentation in or are submitted after August 1st, cannot be guaranteed to begin on the first day of school.
Closings/Delays
Closings/Delays
The district uses an alert system to send messages to parents via phone, text message, and email. In the application, you will be able to specify phone numbers to receive voice calls, phone numbers to receive text messages, and an email address to receive messages.
*Note: Even if you provide numbers to receive text messages, those messages cannot be sent until you "OPT IN" from each phone. To do so, text the letter "Y" to 67587 from each phone you want to receive text messages.

Note: A 1302 Sworn Statement is only valid during the current school year which it was completed. A yearly renewal form and notary is required.

Note: This affidavit shall become invalid at the close of the current school year. A new affidavit will need to be instituted before admission to a North Pocono School District school for the following school year.
Proof of Residency
The following will be accepted as proofs of residence for registration. All acceptable proofs of residence must include an address within the North Pocono School District. At least three (3) proofs are required to be considered a resident of this District. If you cannot provide these proofs, your child will not be registered.

National Lunch Program
National Lunch Program
Applications for the National School Lunch Program begin on July 1st of the upcoming school year, regardless of income. The more students who apply, the more federal resources will be made available to student programs.
