Screenings

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania requires a number of health-related screenings for all children enrolled in public schools. Below, please find a summary of those screenings; a downloadable document with all required screenings is also available.

• Growth screenings are required annually.
• Dental screenings are required in 1st grade, 3rd grade, and 7th grade.
• Physicals are required in Kindergarten (or upon original entry to school), 6th grade, and 11th grade.
• Scoliosis screenings are required in 6th grade and 7th grade.
• Vision screenings are required annually.
