Daniel J. Powell, Ed.D.
Superintendent

Dear North Pocono Families,

I am honored to serve as the educational leader of the North Pocono School District. Long before my graduation from North Pocono in 1991, I strived to accomplish goals that would one day allow me to give back to the North Pocono community.  Upon being hired by the district in 1996, I rose through the ranks with my objective being to always help as many students as possible.  I have served the district as an instructional aide, Kindergarten teacher, Assistant Principal, Principal, Assistant Superintendent and now Superintendent of Schools.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from King’s College, a Master of Science degree in Special Education from Marywood University and a Doctor of Education in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University.

Along with a committed board, a strong administrative team, dedicated faculty and staff, fantastic students and energetic community members, I vow to maintain the mission of the district which is to educate and challenge all students to their maximum potential and prepare them for the demands of a global society.

I am and always will be NP Proud!

Sincerely,

Daniel J. Powell, Ed.D.
Superintendent of Schools
