Tech Policy
The technology program at North Pocono is guided by a long-range technology plan, adopted by the Board of Education and approved by the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE). It covers everything from program goals and timelines to budgets and implementation strategies. This plan is now a component of the district's comprehensive plan, which can be found here.
The Board of Education also has several policies that pertain to technology.
- An Acceptable Use Policy (North Pocono Board of Education Policy #815). This policy governs user conduct with respect to technology.
- An Artificial Intelligence Policy (North Pocono Board of Education Policy #815.1). This policy governs the use/adoption of artificial intelligence-enhanced services and related information handling.
- A Social Media Policy (North Pocono Board of Education Policy #816). This policy governs appropriate handling of information on Internet-based media.
