Anti-Bullying
The North Pocono School District is committed to providing a safe and welcoming environments for all students to learn and thrive. Consequently bullying is something which the district takes seriously and to which it dedicates significant instructional time, effort, and funding. Our efforts begin with our Anti-Bullying Pledge:
- We will not bully others
- We will help students who are bullied
- We will include students who are left out
- If somebody is being bullied, we will tell an adult at school and an adult at home.
People can experience many types of unpleasant interactions with others, though not all unpleasant interactions are bullying. Bullying is when someone repeatedly and purposely says or does mean or hurtful things to another person who has a hard time defending himself or herself. Bullying can take many forms, and, today, with social media and the Internet, it can happen in many places.
