Attendance

The North Pocono School District takes student attendance seriously. Beyond the fact that school attendance is compulsory under Pennsylvania law, research has repeatedly shown student attendance to be a determining factor for student success. That success is our most important goal. Frequent absences of students from regular classroom learning experiences disrupt the continuity of the instructional process, and, once lost, cannot be entirely regained. Our attendance policy and procedures are designed to prevent frequent absence when at all possible.
